Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made an exciting post about Göbeklitepe's brother, Karahan Tepe.

Stating that 250 T-shaped obelisks have been discovered so far in Karahan Tepe, which is about 35 kilometers from Göbeklitepe, Ersoy said, “The excavation program continues in an intensive and rapid manner. Probably - there is one more year of work that we haven't confirmed but - we will have reached an older excavation center. This will be 12,000 years old, much older than the other. It will probably become a priority place than Göbeklitepe. It will be our new center of attention." he says.
